Breast Revision. Bilateral Breast Capsular Contracture. Bilateral Removal of Silicone Implants, Bilateral Capsulectomy, Bilateral Pocket Repair with Placement of Strattice, Bilateral Placement of Silicone Implants.

After this patient’s initial breast augmentation surgery with another surgeon, she felt that her scars were not even or hidden in her breast crease. She also eventually developed capsular contracture in her breasts, which is the formation of hard scar tissue around the breast implant, creating asymmetry, firmness, and distortion. The implants placed in her first surgery were wide and flat, and she desired a rounder, fuller shape. Capsular contracture also causes pain and discomfort, which restricted this patient’s daily activities since she lives an extremely active lifestyle. Dr. Cat removed and replaced her implants, performed a capsulectomy to remove the hard scar tissue around the implants, and also performed a pocket repair using capsulorrhaphy which is sutures as well as Strattice. This repairs the pocket and provides better support. At only two weeks post-op, this patient now has soft, full, symmetric, and better-shaped breasts after having a Breast Revision with Dr. Cat.

Breast Revision- Bilateral Removal of Saline Implants, Completion of Dual Plane Pockets, Bilateral Capsulotomy, Bilateral Capsulorrhaphy With Pocket Repair, Periareolar Mastopexy, Replacement With Bilateral 650cc Ultra High Profile Silicone Implants.

This patient was experiencing aesthetic issues with her implants, so she traveled from Arizona to have surgery with Breast Revision specialist, Dr. Cat. This patient underwent a complicated secondary breast surgery to tackle critical stage IV capsular contracture and associated issues with the breast pocket. Prior to this, she had experienced a less-than-ideal silicone breast augmentation conducted by a different surgeon, which led to severe asymmetry, a phenomenon known as bottoming out, and excessively wide pockets. This was further complicated by the fact that the original surgeon cut through the muscle tissue instead of lifting it, leading to pain and scarring.
