Which face and neck procedure is right for you
Start with the feature. A hump, a wide or bulbous tip, a crooked nose or a blocked airway is bone and cartilage, and only rhinoplasty changes it; Dr. Cat performs primary rhinoplasty, with or without septoplasty, from age 16. Our nose shape page covers each shape.
For tired-looking eyes, lift the tail of one eyebrow. If the fold stays, it is lid skin, and an eyelid lift by Dr. Cat removes it, upper, lower or both; if the hood disappears, the brow has dropped, and a brow lift repositions it. The hooded eyes page walks through the test.
Jowls and a loose neck are tissue that has moved. A facelift here is a face and neck lift that repositions the SMAS layer; a deep plane facelift lifts skin, fat, SMAS and platysma as one unit; when only the neck has changed, a neck lift alone is the operation. A face that has emptied rather than dropped has lost volume: fat transfer to the face replaces it with your own fat, and the fat that takes is permanent, where filler lasts months to a year or more.
Three smaller operations change proportion: a lip lift shortens a long upper lip, buccal fat removal slims round lower cheeks, and facial implants bring a receding chin forward or define a soft jaw angle. Ears that stand out are corrected with otoplasty, from about age five or six.

What facial plastic surgery costs in Beverly Hills
Dr. Cat's surgeon's fee for a primary rhinoplasty is $40,000 to $45,500; the operating room and anesthesia are quoted at your consultation. Surgeon's fees are typical ranges: a more complex case can cost more, and your fee is set at your consultation and is final only in your written quote. Her surgeon's fee for an upper eyelid lift is $8,000 to $12,500, $15,000 for a lower eyelid lift and $30,000 for upper and lower together, and $11,000 for fat transfer to the face, plus the liposuction that harvests the fat at her liposuction rates. Recovery and aftercare
Most face and neck surgery is outpatient: you go home the same day with someone to stay the first night, which after a face and neck lift is spent with a nurse or a responsible adult. Sutures come out at about a week, most patients are back at a desk within one to two weeks, and silicone scar care starts at two weeks.
