Which minimally invasive procedure is right for you
Lines that show when you frown or squint and fade when your face is still are muscle, and Botox or Dysport relaxes it (forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet) for about three to four months; our Botox and Dysport comparison covers the choice.
Lines that stay at rest and volume the face has lost are filler work: lips, nasolabial folds, cheeks, under-eye hollows, chin and jawline. Facial fillers are the hyaluronic acid gels Juvederm and Restylane, lasting 6 to 18 months by area and dissolvable within a day; Botox or fillers explains the mirror test. Filler does not lift jowls or hooded eyelids, and the fat pad of a double chin is chin liposuction.
For volume lost across the cheeks, temples and jawline, Sculptra builds your own collagen over two to three sessions: the full effect at about six months, lasting up to two years, and it cannot be dissolved.
Venus Viva MD, fractional radiofrequency resurfacing, treats acne scars, fine lines, pigment, rosacea and stretch marks.
Mildly loose or crepey skin is radiofrequency tightening: ThermiSmooth Face for the face and neck, ThermiSmooth Body for the abdomen, back, buttocks, legs and arms, each three to four sessions four to eight weeks apart. A fold that stays when pinched is a neck lift, as the turkey neck page explains.
Vaginal laxity, dryness and stress urinary incontinence are treated with ThermiVa: radiofrequency by wand in 30 to 45 minutes with no anesthesia, complete results usually after two to three sessions.
Who performs your treatment
Dr. Cat Begovic, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, trained in both head and neck surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery, Harvard-educated and UCLA trained. Every syringe of filler is placed by one of the practice's two surgeons and never by a nurse injector or physician assistant, by Dr. Cat's rule. Dr. Cat injects Botox or Dysport of the forehead and around the eyes, and filler in the lips, the nasolabial folds and the neck lines, herself; Botox of the masseter, chin and platysmal neck bands, filler in the cheeks, under the eyes, jawline, chin and temples, liquid rhinoplasty and ThermiTight are performed by our board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Venus Viva MD, ThermiVa and ThermiSmooth are in-office treatments at Dr. Cat Plastic Surgery.
Before and after photos
The minimally invasive gallery holds the Botox and Dysport cases and the filler before and after photos, lip cases by Dr. Cat, most labeled Juvederm. Look at the lips at rest, where nothing should look added, and at the forehead in expression, where the lines soften and the brow still lifts.
What non-surgical procedures cost in Beverly Hills
Injectables in Beverly Hills at the practice are priced per unit and per syringe: Botox is $25 per unit, Dysport $8.50 per unit and Juvederm or Restylane $1,250 per syringe, full syringes only, the same whichever of the two surgeons injects. Sculptra is quoted at your consultation; liquid rhinoplasty is $4,500 including two visits. Venus Viva MD, ThermiSmooth and ThermiVa are priced per treatment and in packages of three on our non-surgical pricing page, and financing is available through Cherry, CareCredit and Alphaeon Credit.
Recovery and aftercare
Recovery after these non-surgical cosmetic procedures is measured in hours and days. After Botox or Dysport stay upright for four hours and skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours; the full effect shows at about two weeks. After filler expect swelling and some bruising for 3 to 7 days, most in the lips. Call at once, day or night, if the skin over a filled area turns white, mottled or dusky, or if your vision changes.
How to start
Book a free discovery call: our Patient Concierge calls you back and books your visit. Your evaluation and facial analysis are with the surgeon who treats you, in person or, for out-of-town patients, by private video through OnPatient, the practice's HIPAA-secure patient portal. Your appointment is reserved with a $500 deposit credited to your treatment; new patients are evaluated and treated at the same visit, and the $500 stays as a credit if treatment is not right for you.
