What is Labiaplasty?
Insecurities are never easy, but when they stem from one of your most intimate areas? While it’s not always openly discussed, more women struggle with their vaginal appearance than you think.
Beverly Hills Labiaplasty makes you the architect of your femininity. This procedure addresses common concerns by removing excess vaginal tissue to create a natural-looking, symmetric, and tucked-in shape.
As a globally renowned labiaplasty specialist, Dr. Cat Begovic has pioneered remarkable vaginal transformations. Her specialized technique has changed the lives of countless women—now it’s your turn.
Understanding Beverly Hills Labiaplasty
Your womanhood symbolizes strength, pleasure, and creation. But when you’re unhappy with how it looks or feels? Those insecurities ripple through every part of life.
Dr. Cat’s addresses:
- Large or excess labia
- Urinary incontinence
- Chronic chafing or irritation
- Aesthetic irregularities
- Chronic UTIs
- Post-pregnancy changes
- Discomfort during exercise or sexual intercourse
- Vaginal laxity
- Hygiene issues
- Insecurities about vaginal appearance
Labiaplasty corrects these issues by minimizing the labia minora (inner lips of the vagina) so it’s flush with your labia majora (outer lips). Dr. Cat sometimes pairs labia reduction surgery with a clitoral hood reduction or non-surgical vagina rejuvenation for a more comprehensive transformation.
The result? A designer vagina and a brand new outlook on life.

The Labiaplasty Procedure: What to Expect
We know the thought of surgery in such a personal area can bring about some anxiety. But with Dr. Cat? You can rest assured you’re always in gentle, caring hands.
Your first steps to redesigning your womanhood? An in-depth consultation with Dr. Cat.
Your Consultation
As a female vaginal plastic surgeon, Dr. Cat knows firsthand the physical and psychological effects of labial irregularities. Her goal at each consultation? To create a safe space for you to freely express yourself.
“Women should be able to embrace loving their vagina and caring for it like the rest of their body. I’m passionate about breaking down any social boundaries when having conversations about the vagina or labia. Many patients have suffered for years with discomfort, afraid to talk about the subject. Women should feel comfortable discussing and loving all parts of their body.” ~Dr. Cat
At this initial meeting, Dr. Cat reviews your anatomy and current and past health. You’ll view photos of labiaplasty examples to pinpoint what you like and dislike. By the end, you’ll paint a picture of the size and shape you want to achieve with Beverly Hills Labiaplasty.
With these insights, Dr. Cat creates your bespoke surgical plan.
Preparing for Beverly Hills Labiaplasty
After your consultation, Dr. Cat’s team will provide a set of pre-operative instructions.
These can include:
- Pre-operative clearance appointments and lab tests
- No smoking for at least two months
- Arranging transportation to and from surgery
- Avoiding certain medications before and after surgery
- Cleansing your body with Hibiclens soap the night before
- Adhering to a light, balanced diet for a certain period
- No eating or drinking the night before surgery
- Not wearing any makeup, skincare, or jewelry on the day of surgery
To avoid surgical complications and pave the way for a successful labiaplasty, following these pre-op instructions is a must.
Your Surgery
On the day of your labiaplasty, you’ll meet with Dr. Cat to review your surgical plan once more. She’ll also mark your incisions and go over your desired results.
Once you’re in the O.R., Dr. Cat administers general anesthesia. She also applies a numbing solution to ensure minimal pain and maximum relaxation.
Dr. Cat uses a 3.5X microscope to perform labiaplasty. This allows her to create results that are as precise and symmetric as possible. In her meticulous approach, she believes every millimeter counts.
“I take extreme pride in my attention to detail with every single step of this surgery.” ~Dr. Cat
During your 2 ½ to 4 hour surgery, Dr. Cat takes her time to reduce and artfully reshape your labia minora, labia majora, or both. Her technique varies according to the balanced size and shape you desire.
Recovery and Aftercare
Dr. Cat’s signature approach guarantees a quick and comfortable labiaplasty recovery. Throughout recovery, Dr. Cat and her team are always available to offer any support you may need.
Here’s a snapshot of what the healing phase looks like:
- Week 1: Some soreness and swelling are expected, but should subside within the next month. You may feel some discomfort, but never any pain. Most of Dr. Cat’s patients need no more than Tylenol, antibiotic ointment, and ice.
- You’ll shower very carefully to avoid disrupting your sutures. No scratching, rubbing, or scrubbing the treated area.
- Weeks 2-4: Dr. Cat recommends you wear a maxi pad coated with antibiotic ointment to soothe the area and prevent infection. Avoid wearing anything that can get on your sutures.
- You’ll also avoid tight-fitting clothing, swimming, hot tubs, tampons, crossing your legs, intercourse, and exercise during this time.
After 3 to 4 months, your scars will be virtually invisible, and the final results of your newly-rejuvenated vagina are realized.
Patient Testimonials: Hear from Our Satisfied Patients
The results of vaginal rejuvenation surgery transcend aesthetics to transform your inner confidence.
These patient stories highlight the impact that labiaplasty with Dr. Cat can have on your quality of life:
“It has been a wonderful experience with Dr. Cat. I am so happy I had the labiaplasty procedure; it has been a life changing experience for me. My reasons for pursuing this procedure were for comfort/pain. The things that caused me discomfort were: doing squats, going from sitting to standing, sometimes intercourse, and when using the bathroom (wiping).
Many individuals don’t know what labiaplasty is, I found that I had to explain it to my close friends after my surgery; even ones that are in the medical field. On Dr. Cats Instagram, she explains the procedure in her posts and answers questions on her story. Ironically, a couple weeks before my procedure she had a question/answer session on IG which answered many of my questions about the procedure. I also got the chance to ask other questions I had during my consultation. I would say that you should go for it if you are on the fence.
It took me a while to decide to have surgery because I wanted to go to the best plastic surgeon. I was contemplating and researching for a couple years. Dr. Cat has performed so many labiaplasties and uses her own technique, this was why I chose her as my plastic surgeon. During my consultation appointment, she explained the difference between her own technique and the wedge procedure. Instantly, I knew whose hands I wanted to be in. I would never want to have to redo a surgery or go to another surgeon to fix a bad job. I chose Dr. Cat because her work really stood out to me when viewing the different galleries online. She cares about detail and rightly so for such a delicate area of the body. If you are unsure about the price, I would encourage you to look at her before and after labiaplasy photos. You will see what I am talking about.”

Dr. Cat Plastic Surgery: Let Your Inner Goddess Shine
Being a woman is fun and empowering, yet full of complexities only other women can comprehend.
When considering a procedure as personal as labiaplasty, don’t you want a surgeon who resonates with your experiences? Someone who understands what brought you here and the outcomes you desire. A surgeon who understands the power you hold when you love every part of yourself.
Dr. Cat Begovic embodies that understanding. As the go-to Beverly Hills Labiaplasty specialist, it’s her mission to help you embrace every facet of yourself.
Is a plastic surgeon better than a gynecologist for labiaplasty?
Both plastic surgeons and OB/GYNs can perform labiaplasty procedures; however, it’s better to opt for a plastic surgeon specializing in labiaplasty. Surgeons like Dr. Cat Begovic have spent years perfecting their surgical techniques. This specialized approach minimizes your risk of complications and the need for future revision surgeries.
“How much did you pay for your labiaplasty?”
In the U.S., a labiaplasty costs between $4000 and $6000. However, this figure can reach as much as $25,000 depending on surgical repertoire, locale, and other factors.
What type of anesthesia is used?
How long does the procedure take?
What is the recovery like?
Will insurance cover labiaplasty?
It depends on your insurance provider. More often than not, labiaplasty is considered an elective cosmetic procedure not usually covered by insurance.
Can labiaplasty cause decreased sensation or injury to the clitoris?
When performed correctly, no. With the technique I have developed, none of the incisions go anywhere near the clitoris or dorsal nerve. I also engage in detailed discussions with my patients to ensure that none of the removed tissues are sensitive or involved in intimacy. Most patients report improved sensation during intercourse because they no longer experience pain or discomfort from the labia pulling or twisting.
I have developed a special technique that is virtually painless, with a quick and easy recovery. My patients usually take just a few Tylenol, if even that. They can return to work in a few days and are advised to refrain from using tampons, engaging in intercourse, or exercising for 4 weeks. But by 4 weeks, they are completely healed.
I understand this may be an uncomfortable topic for many, but it’s a life-changing surgery that has made a significant difference for many of my patients. It’s important to bring this topic into the open. Many of my older patients have told me they suffered for years in silence, stealthily trying to Google solutions before they discovered there was an actual procedure. Plastic surgery isn’t for everyone as it’s an elective procedure. However, for those seeking solutions to feel and look better, I believe in open conversation and education.
