The guides are the long answers. A procedure page tells you what Dr. Cat Begovic, MD, FACS, does and who it is for; a concern page tells you what is wrong and what fixes it; a guide tells you what to expect. What a BBL actually is and is not. What week three of a tummy tuck recovery feels like, and what is normal at week three that would worry you at week eight. Where the scar sits and what it looks like at six weeks, six months and a year. How breast implants are sized in cubic centimeters and matched to the width of your chest rather than to a cup size. Each guide is written by the practice, medically reviewed by Dr. Cat with the review date on the page, and corrected whenever her protocol changes, so a number you read here is the number you will hear in the office.
Pick the guide by the question you are asking. If you have a surgery date, start with the recovery guides and read the whole timeline before the day, not the night after. If you are still deciding whether a procedure is for you, start with the explainers, which cover the mechanism, the candidates and the risks without the sales structure of a procedure page. If you want to know what it costs before you book anything, the cost guides publish our typical ranges. Two kinds of question belong elsewhere: which of two procedures you need is answered on the comparison pages, and what is bothering you and what treats it on the concern pages.
One thing the guides are not: medical advice for your case. They are educational, and none of them replaces the examination. The consultation with Dr. Cat ($500, or $1,500 for a revision consultation, credited toward your surgery) is where a general timeline becomes your timeline and a typical range becomes your quote. Where a fact is specific to Dr. Cat's technique, the guide says so; where it is general medicine, it says that too, and attributes the figure.
Recovery and Healing
- Tummy Tuck Recovery: A Week-by-Week Timeline Drains, walking bent, standing straight, work and exercise week by week, what is normal and what is not, and why most patients need only Tylenol.
- Breast Augmentation Recovery: A Week-by-Week Timeline Soreness under the muscle, surgical bra, sleeping and showering, desk work at one week, all exercise at six weeks, and when implants drop and fluff.
- BBL Recovery: A Week-by-Week Brazilian Butt Lift Timeline The six-week no-sitting rule, the BBL pillow, compression, sleeping on your stomach, returning to work and exercise, and when the result settles.
- Tummy Tuck Scars: Where They Sit, How They Heal, and How to Keep Them Thin Where the scar sits, what it looks like at six weeks, six months and a year, belly button scar, care by phase, revision and tattoos.
Understanding a Procedure
- What Is a BBL? Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery, Explained A BBL is liposuction plus transfer of your fat to the buttocks and hips: how it works, who qualifies, safety, fat survival, recovery and cost.
- Breast Implant Sizes: How to Choose the Right CC, Profile and Fit Implants are measured in cc, not cup sizes: a cc chart by frame and profile, the rice test, and why bigger is not always better.
Cost
- Plastic Surgery Cost Guides Every cost guide in one place: Dr. Cat's typical ranges for body, breast, face and labia surgery, and what every written quote includes.
- Tummy Tuck Cost The full and mini tummy tuck ranges, what liposuction or a pubic lift adds, revision pricing, and why the national average is not your number.
- Liposuction Cost Pricing by area, a single area against several, lipo 360, the fat transfer combinations, and what revision liposuction costs.
- Mommy Makeover Cost How a combination is priced from its parts, why one surgery costs less than two, and when Dr. Cat stages it for safety.
- Breast Augmentation Cost What breast augmentation with implants costs, what moves the price (implant type, technique, anesthesia), and what the written quote includes.
- Brazilian Butt Lift Cost What liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks and hips costs, what the fee covers, and what changes the price from patient to patient.
- Labiaplasty Cost The labiaplasty range, the technique and anesthesia choices that move it, revision pricing, and the insurance answer for functional cases.
- Plastic Surgery Financing How patients pay for surgery: Cherry as the primary partner, with 0% APR options for qualified applicants, plus CareCredit and Alphaeon Credit.
Which Guide Do I Need?
If you are asking how long something takes, you want a recovery guide; the three timelines above cover the tummy tuck, breast augmentation with implants and the BBL, and the mommy makeover page explains how those recoveries overlap when procedures are combined. If you are asking what something will look like, you want the scar guide or the before and after gallery. If you are asking how a procedure works or how a decision such as implant size is made, you want an explainer. If you are asking what it costs, you want the cost guides, and if the answer is "more than I expected", the financing page is the next read. And if you are asking whether you need the procedure at all, that is a concern page, not a guide.
Where to Go Next
The guides connect to the rest of the site at every step. Each one links its procedure page, and the procedure pages are grouped under all procedures body, breasts, face and neck, labia and minimally invasive. For the choice between two procedures, use the comparison pages; for the problem you want solved, the concern pages. Patients traveling for surgery should also read the out-of-town patients page, and everyone with a surgery date should read the pre-op instructions.
