Most people who call us do not start with the name of a procedure. They start with something they have been looking at in the mirror for months: a fold of belly skin that did not go back after the second baby, breasts that emptied out after breastfeeding, a neck that arrived before its time, or a result from another surgeon that never looked right. This page is the index of those concerns. Each card links to a page that explains what is happening in the tissue, why creams, exercise and devices have not fixed it, which procedure usually does, and what Dr. Cat Begovic, MD, FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, looks for at the consultation before she recommends anything.
Use it in two steps. First, find the concern that matches yours and read its page. It will tell you whether the problem is fat, skin, muscle or lost volume, because that distinction decides the procedure: liposuction removes fat and does nothing for loose skin, a tummy tuck removes skin and repairs muscle, a lift moves tissue that has dropped, and no cream or device does any of those. Second, follow the second link on the card to the procedure page, or to a comparison when two procedures could both apply. If you have already had surgery elsewhere and the result is the concern, start in the last group, where the pages cover what a revision can correct and what it cannot.
Every page in this layer is written by the practice and medically reviewed by Dr. Cat, with the review date at the bottom. None of them will tell you that you need surgery, and several tell you plainly when you do not. The point is that you arrive at your free discovery call already knowing the vocabulary, the realistic options and the questions worth asking, and that you never book a procedure for a problem it does not treat.
Body Concerns
- Apron Belly and Loose Skin After Pregnancy Why the fold of belly skin stays after pregnancy or weight loss, what exercise cannot do, and when a tummy tuck fixes it. Usual procedure: tummy tuck.
- Love Handles, Muffin Top and Stubborn Fat Why pockets of fat on the waist, flanks, belly, back and thighs ignore diet and exercise, and what liposuction can and cannot do. Usual procedure: liposuction.
- Flat or Saggy Buttocks Why squats rarely change a flat or sagging butt, what genetics and fat distribution decide, and how a BBL adds shape with your own fat. Usual procedure: Brazilian butt lift.
- Diastasis Recti (Abdominal Muscle Separation) The symptoms, a two-finger self-check, what physical therapy can close, and when surgical muscle repair is the only thing that flattens the bulge. Usual procedure: tummy tuck with muscle repair.
- Saggy Arms, Flabby Arms and Bat Wings Whether upper arms carry fat, loose skin or both, and when arm liposuction or ThermiSmooth Body helps; Dr. Cat does not perform arm lifts. Usual procedure: arm liposuction.
- Hip Dips Why the inward curve below the hip bone is a skeletal shape no exercise can fill, and how fat transfer rounds it out. Usual procedure: hip dip surgery (fat transfer to the hips).
- FUPA (Fullness Over the Pubic Bone) What a FUPA is, why the fat pad above the pubic bone resists dieting, and when liposuction, a pubic lift or tummy tuck fixes it. Usual procedure: FUPA surgery (mons pubis liposuction).
Breast Concerns
- Saggy or Deflated Breasts After Breastfeeding Why breasts sag or empty out after breastfeeding or weight loss, what the ptosis grades mean, and which lift or implant fits each grade. Usual procedure: breast lift.
- Uneven Breasts (Breast Asymmetry) Why almost every woman has some asymmetry, when it is worth correcting, and how a surgeon balances size, shape and nipple position. Usual procedure: breast augmentation.
Face and Neck Concerns
- Hooded Eyes What hooded eyes are, how to tell hooding from a drooping lid, why creams cannot lift skin, and what an upper eyelid lift does. Usual procedure: eyelid lift.
- Turkey Neck: Loose Neck Skin and Neck Bands Why loose neck skin and vertical bands appear, what exercises and creams cannot tighten, and how a neck lift restores the line of the jaw. Usual procedure: neck lift.
- Double Chin (Submental Fullness) Why a double chin appears even on slim people, whether weight loss helps, and when chin liposuction or a neck lift is the fix. Usual procedure: chin liposuction.
- Sagging Jowls What jowls are, why they form along the jawline even in your twenties, what Botox and filler cannot do, and how a facelift corrects them. Usual procedure: facelift.
- Nose Bump, Wide Nose and Tip Shape A dorsal hump, a wide bridge, a bulbous or drooping tip: what shapes the nose, why taping changes nothing, and what rhinoplasty can do. Usual procedure: rhinoplasty.
Labia Concerns
- Enlarged Labia (Labial Hypertrophy) Enlarged labia are usually normal anatomy. When they cause chafing, discomfort in clothing or exercise, or self-consciousness, and what the discreet surgical option involves. Usual procedure: labiaplasty.
After a Previous Surgery
- Botched BBL Signs a BBL went wrong, why fat reabsorbs unevenly or forms lumps, what a revision can realistically correct, and when to seek care quickly. Usual procedure: BBL revision, on the Brazilian butt lift page.
- Breast Implant Problems How to tell something is wrong with breast implants: capsular contracture, rippling, malposition, rupture and breast implant illness, and what the next step is. Usual procedure: breast revision.
- Botched Tummy Tuck What a botched tummy tuck looks like against normal healing, the common problems (dog ears, a high scar, leftover skin), and what a revision corrects. Usual procedure: revision tummy tuck.
- Botched Labiaplasty How to tell a labiaplasty is botched rather than still healing, what over-resection and asymmetry mean, and what a revision can and cannot restore. Usual procedure: labiaplasty revision.
Not Seeing Your Concern?
Some concerns go straight to a procedure page because the procedure is the whole answer. Breasts that developed narrow, constricted or cone-shaped at puberty are treated with tuberous breast correction. Ears that stick out are set back with otoplasty. A thin upper lip or a long space between the nose and the lip is treated with a lip lift. Other concerns are covered on the blog until they have a page of their own: under-eye bags, gynecomastia versus chest fat in men, and cellulite, which liposuction does not treat. If your concern is not here at all, the discovery call is the place to describe it; our team will tell you whether it is something Dr. Cat treats and which page to read first.
Where to Go Next
Once you know the concern, the rest of the site is organized to answer the next question. The comparison pages settle which of two procedures your anatomy needs (tummy tuck or liposuction, a lift or implants, Botox or filler). The patient guides explain what to expect, from a week-by-week recovery to where a scar sits at a year, and the cost guides publish Dr. Cat's typical price ranges so you know before you book. The procedure pages themselves are grouped under all procedures body, breasts, face and neck, labia and minimally invasive. Results for every one of them are in the before and after gallery.
